Maryland Vegetable Crab Soup
According to the menu, the Maryland Crab Soup contains a generous portion of lump crab in a spicy tomato broth with a blend of savory herbs and a variety of fresh vegetables. In addition to crab, the soup contains tomatoes, onions, carrots, peas, green beans, red yellow and green peppers, celery.
Despite the menu claims, the soup wasn't really all that spicy, but did have a fresh vegetegable flavor to it. If you closed your eyes, you wouldn't know it was a crab soup, as the crab had no flavor despite the amount of it in the soup. There was a slight Old Bay spice to the soup, but not enough to overcome the power of the vegetable flavor. Pretty darn good as a vegetable soup, but doesn't quite live up to the expectation of a crab soup.
