Maryland Crab Soup
Seacrets' Maryland Crab Soup is your typcal crab soup, made with jumbo lump crab meat and vegetables in a tomato base. Also on the menu is a cream of crab soup. Both are available in cup or bowl sizes.
The smell of the soup hits you the second it is served. Even in winter, you'd swear it was summertime and you were outside at a paper-lined picnic table, staring down a dozen of monster Maryland Blue crabs. It's dirty, gritty, and everything you would expect from a crab-based soup. The aroma alone is so delicious that you might just want to take some home and use it as an air freshener.
Once you dig into the soup, you'll see that it is packed with vegetables: celery, carrots, peas, green beans, corn, onions and big lumps of jumbo crab. The flavor of the vegetables is good and tasty, and as expected, the crab flavor is nice and sweet. The crab seasoning (such as Old Bay) is heavy on the back end. A bit salty, but oooooohhhhhhh, so good. Crackers add a nice texture and sweet flavor, without oversalting the flavor. Highly recommended soup, even if it's your only reason for stopping in.
