Annapolis has lots of small shops and restaurants that add to the quaintness of this harbor town.  And what a better way to enjoy the charm of Annapolis than by relaxing in a luxury hotel?  West Kitchen & Tavern is a "scratch" kitchen located in the Lowes hotel, offering a wide selection of delacies celebrating the Chesapeake flavor that has made the area famous.  Using only fresh, local ingredients, they offer a wide variety of plates that you can share or keep all to yourself.

Annapolis Crab Bisque


West's Annapolis Crab Bisque is made with Chesapeake jumbo lump crab meat, herb croutons, and green onions in a creamy crab bisque made from crab bodies.

The Annapolis Crab Bisque is brought to the table with just the crab meat and croutons in a bowl, and then the bisque is poured over top when served.  The crab meat is in large chunks and is super sweet.    Green onions are chopped in.  

The flavor of the bisque is quite amazing.  The bisque is smooth and creamy, with a hint of mushroom.  Some spice kicks in on the back end, but is minor and only adds to the next spoonful.  While the bisque could stand to be just a tad bit thicker, the experince will still leave a smile on your face.
